Small Grants Programme 2008-2009
We are a charity established by the property industry to bring the expertise, resource and influence of the industry together in promoting effective charitable work.
Our grant making reflects our commitment to giving those who are less advantaged an opportunity to transform their lives and achieve their full potential.
In 2008/09 LandAid will distribute up to £40,000 to appropriate specialist agencies. Applications are invited for awards ranging from £5000-£40,000. The Trustees will consider whether to award several grants of different sizes or a single grant for the full amount available for an exceptional project.
Grant total: £40,000
Beneficial area: England
Our Small Grants programme supports homeless people by funding projects which:
• provide accommodation or assist in meeting accommodation needs
• refurbish or renew facilities
• deliver training, life skills or other educational programmes
We will not normally consider funding staff costs, unless the project is of limited duration or the applicant has shown how such costs will be met on an ongoing basis.
Applications must be in writing and should set out clearly the aims of the project, and the intended outcomes, in no more than 500 words. We need to know how the full cost of the project will be met, how the project will be managed effectively, and how you will report on its progress and success. A budget for the project must be provided together with a copy of the organisation’s most recent Annual Report and Accounts.
Exclusions: No grants to individuals
Application schedule: Applications should be submitted between 1 December 2008 and 31 January 2009. A decision on grant allocation will be made by the Grants Committee by the end of March 2009. Before reaching a decision to fund the Committee and/or its representatives may wish to visit the project/organisation.
