Gift Aid is a scheme run by HM Revenue and Customs that affects UK tax payers.  Basically it means that a charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on a gift recieved from you if you give your permission.

Gift Aid is the simplist and one of the most effective ways of giving to LandAid.  Using Gift Aid means for every pound you give, LandAid will recieve an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue!  This means that a £100 Gift Aid donation is worth £128 to us - imagine what a difference that could make to LandAid, and it doesn't cost you a thing!

High Rate Tax Payers
On top of this, higher rate taxpayers are eligible to reclaim £23 from the taxman for every £100 donated to LandAid, by including details of their Gift Aid donations on their Self Assessment form.

Always state that you wish your gift to be treated as Gift Aid to ensure we get the most value from your donation.

Non Taypayers

If you do not pay tax, you should not use Gift Aid.

If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid then more information can be found on the HM Revenue and Customs website.
