Berkeley Square Ball Jives Japanese Print E-mail
berkeley-square-ball-07.jpgThe annual LandAid Ball held in Berkeley Square on July 5 was a great success. Three hundred people attended the event which this year had a Japanese theme with a sake and champagne reception. The marquee interior and table centers were adorned with hanging lanterns, parasols, orchids and paper screens.

The guests were serenaded by Cousin Alice through the reception and Tenors Unlimited made a surprise entrance during desert. After dinner guests danced into the night with 29 Fingers.

All money raised went to LandAid and Centrepoint’s joint project, Foundations for Life. Anthony Lawton (Centrepoint CEO) gave a rousing speech on the impact that Foundations for Life will have on the young people using Centrepoint hostels and facilities by giving them real opportunities and tangible life skills instead of just a bed for the night.
