I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Shauna and Lacey and was impressed by their positive attitude, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. It was also wonderful to hear that they enjoyed the time they spent with us and are keen to work in financial services. REF London’s partnership with LandAid has really blossomed over the past year and I’m looking forward to building on our relationship in 2013.

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) provides banking facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.
RBS has been a LandAid partner since 2011.
In March 2013, LandAid facilitated a week of work experience in the RBS real estate department for two young women from the LandAid supported project, Community Links. It was an amazing opportunity for the young women at the beginning of their careers and a great collaboration between LandAid partners. RBS has also provided a Community Grant of £30,000 to LandAid charity project Roots and Shoots in Kennington. The donation will fund a landscape gardener to redesign the exterior and pay for a demonstration vegetable patch and habitats for the animals.
With regard to LandAid events, staff from RBS are keen attendees of the Debate and for the last couple of years, have opted for the educational route and organised an economic seminar for LandAid Day in addition to cake sales and an annual quiz, raising over £2,500 in 2013 and almost £2,000 again in 2014.
