Events and Communications Internship

Job Description

Role: Events and Communications Intern
Location: LandAid, Haymarket, London, SW1
Internship Period: 3 months, 2 days a week (flexible), starting ASAP
Remuneration:The role is unpaid but LandAid will pay travel expenses of up to £5 per day.

LandAid is the charity of the UK property industry. We aim to inspire the young and disadvantaged by giving them access to the facilities, support and opportunities they need to achieve their potential. We do this by making the most effective and innovative use of the industry’s combined resources, expertise and influence.

We are running two large events in October and are looking for an Intern to support both the event management and event communications of these events as well as general administrative duties.

Duties to Include:
•    Support the management of both events in pre-preparation, on the day and post event
•    Active promotion of events calendar
•    Responding to enquiries regarding all events
•    Liaising with suppliers inc. Caterers and AV staff etc.
•    Management of delegate lists and assisting in communications with delegates
•    Working with Communication Officer to update website and LandAid social networks
•    Assist in various ways in the production of LandAid promotional materials.
•    Regular data entry of our donor database
•    Supporting the LandAid Administrator in day to day activities

Person Specification:
E – Essential, D - Desirable
•    An interest in working in a third sector organisation (E)
•    Excellent written and oral skills (E)
•    ICT literature, including social media (E)
•    Motivated, Flexible, reliable and able to work independently (E)
•    Experience of organising an event (D)
•    Knowledge of the property industry (D)
