 On LandAid Day, Thursday 13 October 2011, CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle will come together to jointly raise funds for the property industry charity, LandAid.
Starting at 10.30am teams of five from both agencies will run a 10 mile mini treadmill marathon in gyms in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. Over 70 employees are taking part with the target of raising a combined £10,000 that LandAid will invest in projects that help disadvantaged young people achieve their potential. |

The LandAid 5KM Fun Run has been going since 1986! Take part this year and help the property industry charity celebrate its 25th birthday by raising £40,000 to help homeless young people living in the North East of England.
Entry costs £25.00 and includes food and a commemorative t-shirt. There will be a licensed bar, entertainment and prize giving too!
We want you to get in the spirit of the decade by running in 1980s fancy dress. Think leg warmers, shell suits and headbands! There is a magnum of champagne for the best outfit.

Thank you to all the teams who took part in the first ever LandAid Day Treasure Hunt in association with estatesgazette.com on Friday 15 October.
The 'Da vinci' esque challenge had teams from the property industry searching for cyptic clues in The City of London, Mayfair, Manchester and Edinburgh. As well as having to crack a master code Estates Gaztte set teams a photo challenge to find a celebrity, create an optical illusion and make a suit from copies of Estates Gazette. Photos can be viewed on estatesgazette.com and will also be printed.

Thank you to everyone who took part and supported the annual LandAid Fun Run, sponsored by GVA Grimley yesterday evening (23 June). It was a great success with over 350 enthusiastic members of the property industry taking part in the 5K around Battersea Park.
Well done to Jeff Pyrah (Scott Brownrigg) who was the fastest male (again!) with a very impressive time of 15.57. He saw of Harry Geaves (Capital & Regional) who came second and Nathan Pask (GVA Grimley) who came third.
Alexa Phoenix (Charles Russell) was the first female over the line in 20.04 beating her fellow rivals, Jennifer Whybrow in second place and Di Suter (Thompson Taraz) in third place.

As usual the Fun Run was a great success and we had over 400 enthusiastic members of the property industry taking part in the 5K around Battersea Park. Even the Queen decided to show her support by cheering our runners over the line! That is Queen Boudicca and her ICENI tribe. New water brand, ICENI kindly sponsored the water and kept everybody refreshed and hydrated.

Last night's annual Summer Ball in Berkeley square was a great success! Over three hundred property professionals turned out in style for a sumptuous Midsummer Night's Dream inspired affair.
Guests arrived to the dulcet tones of harp and flute duet Aurora who filled the champagne reception with beautiful music. Fortunes were told by a mystical tarot card reader to those who were brave enough!

 A quartet with long-standing links to accountancy giant Ernst & Young won 2009’s own `Stars in their Eyes’ `Party Near the Park’ in London last night.
Singing Lynyrd Skynyrd’s 1970s rock classic `Sweet Home Alabama’, Graham Protheroe, Andrew Ovey, Will Elgood and Craig Hughes won the text vote in front of 600 people at the Old Billingsgate Market event.
