Project: Foundations for Life

LandAid launched Foundations for Life in partnership with Centrepoint to help tackle youth homelessness by providing funding to develop educational facilities and support to equip young people with the skills they need to find a job and live independently.
Funding from Foundation Partners Grosvenor, GVA and Land Securities has transformed five Centrepoint hostels in London.
Over 1,000 homeless young people have now benefited from educational facilities and staff support that were not available to them previously.

SEGRO
Project: Foundations for Life
Area: Birmingham
Foundation Partner SEGRO was the sole funder of a specialist learning centre for homeless young people in Birmingham which was launched in October 2010. The new Foundations for Life centre has extended a supported accommodation facility run by local charity St Basils.
Young people living there and those from the surrounding area now have a communal learning space where they can study and develop essential life skills.
Funding for the project was met by a three year commitment totalling £120,000 from SEGRO who also provided free project management to help make sure that the project was delivered on time and on budget.

Redevco
Project: New youth centre
Area: Liverpool
A project donation of £11,000 from Foundation Partner Redevco has allowed LandAid to increase its grant to Fairbridge Merseyside from £50,000 to £61,000.
The funds will enable Fairbridge Merseyside to move into a brand new centre where 150 young people who are not currently in education, training, or employment will receive the help they need to achieve their ambitions.
