The Canaan Trust helps homeless men in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire by providing them with accommodation, life skills and career education. The Trust owns two properties that house 12 men between the ages of 16 and 54. They have recently finished transforming a derelict out building into a training suite, where they teach life skills and accredited courses provided by a local college.
With a grant from LandAid of £8,200 the Canaan Trust can renew their existing facilities in order to provide a better service to their residents. They will refurbish the interiors and exteriors of both of their properties and purchase new furniture.
