Project: Refurbishment of school rooftop to create a safe play area for young children

LandAid’s grant will transform the derelict rooftop at Robert Blair Primary School giving the pupils somewhere safe to play. The school is in a disadvantaged area of North London where most of the children live in flats with no gardens. The school has a small playground at ground level but the original rooftop playground had fallen into disrepair and become unusable. The 2009 end of year questionnaire showed 100% of the children enjoyed coming to school! Now they will benefit from having more room to play sports and do outdoor arts projects too.
