1625 IP’s young people have struggled to buy food during isolation due to a lack of funds. This has caused increased health issues, many have struggled to get enough nutrition and are unable to afford personal hygiene items. In the coming months, 1625 IP predicts that its young people will become further excluded from information, communication and assistance.
LandAid’s £8,100 grant will fund mobile phone data for 160 young people. This funding will allow them to access online platforms for essential needs such as Universal Credit and job applications, as well as COVID-19 advice. This grant will also ensure young people are provided with the essentials such as food and toiletries.
