Due to lockdown measures, Aspire Oxford has seen an increasing in the financial needs of its young people. One of its young people has already been evicted twice during the pandemic.
LandAid’s £8,000 grant will help the Aspire team provide direct financial assistance to their young people who are particularly vulnerable. This will go to paying rent arrears which may have prevented a young person from securing permanent housing, as well as cover materials to enable young people to engage in activities which will keep them active and well.
Established in 2001, Aspire Oxford is an employment charity and social enterprise, supporting vulnerable and marginalised people to address their unique housing and employment needs across Oxford, areas of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
