Doorstep has been forced to close its doors, due to COVID-19. Many of the young people supported by Doorstep are cut off from their support networks and cannot keep up to date with public health messaging.
LandAid’s £8,500 grant will provide mobile phones and credit, plus internet costs for one year to allow young people access to support. These funds will also be used to improve tenants’ living spaces and to provide them with bikes for exercise, and as a mode of a transport so they can avoid public transport.
Doorstep provides accommodation and support to young people aged 16 to 25 years old and young families, who are experiencing homelessness within North East Lincolnshire.
