Unemployment for 16-24 year olds in Hampshire currently stands at 3%. Motiv8 in Gosport supports more than 900 of those vulnerable and at risk young people every year, taking them away from a lifestyle characterised by crime and anti-social behaviour, towards a more positive future.
Our relationship with Motiv8 began in 2012, when we provided a grant of £9,500 for the charity’s development of a new life skills kitchen for young people in the town. The state-of-the-art catering facilities and equipment were designed to help young people in the town develop catering, budgeting and other life skills.
A second grant of £50,000 was awarded in 2014, funding much-needed building extensions at their Gosport centre. The project will create three much needed new spaces: a welcoming reception area, flexible meeting space and additional office space. The grants were part-funded by donations received from Property Race Day 2013.

Charity visits are a great way for LandAid supporters to see first hand the fantastic work our charity partners do, and the lasting impact their generosity can have. Visits normally take 1-2 hours and are completely free to attend.
