LandAid Charity Visit: Young People Cornwall

Thursday, September 10, 2015 - 14:30 Truro, Cornwall

Getting young people into work and keeping them in good employment is key to their overall health and well being. There are 2,785 16-24 year olds claiming Jobseekers Allowance in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Some 2,000 16-18 year olds in the county are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

LandAid supports charitable projects in Cornwall. We invested a grant of £36,500 in 2013 towards the refurbishment of a centre run by Young People Cornwall, work which will upgrade the dilapidated building and create a café and new meeting rooms where young people can socialise safely. Young People Cornwall have been successfully working with 8-25 year olds for almost 40 years, encouraging thousands of young people to reach their potential.

Join our charity visit on Thursday 10 September 2015 by emailing Elise Austin today.

Charity visits are a great way for LandAid supporters to see first hand the fantastic work our charity partners do, and the lasting impact their generosity can have. Visits normally take 1-2 hours and are completely free to attend.
