LandAid extends partnership with Eversheds Sutherland with support for the next three years to support youth homelessness projects across the UK.
LandAid is the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK.
Across the country, youth homelessness is rising at a shocking rate. Last year alone nearly 136,000 16–24-year-olds found themselves facing homelessness. Many are forced to sleep in overcrowded hostels, on the sofas of people they barely know, or worse still, on the streets. With rising rents and reductions in benefit payments disproportionately affecting those most vulnerable, support has never been needed more.
Yet homelessness isn’t inevitable. It’s a problem that can be solved by providing the right support services and safe accommodation.
By bringing together the property and wider built environment industry in a collective mission, each year, LandAid support hundreds of youth homelessness charities across the UK. They do this by giving out grants and matching skilled property professionals and partners with charities in need of pro bono advice, saving them vital funds.
