One of the only plus points of summer drawing to an end is the fact that Oktoberfest season is now upon us. And if you wanted a more property-oriented take on the traditional beer festival, you need look no further than Proptoberfest. The event is the brainchild of Completely Events and is in support of LandAid, featuring Bavarian beer, lots of lederhosen and a positive, party atmosphere. Last night, Thursday the 1 March, the first day of spring, I slept a lot rougher than I normally do. And I did so with over 200 other people similarly unaccustomed to sleeping outdoors in sub-zero temperatures.
LandAid's first ever SleepOut for LandAid House sponsored by Hammerson and Knight Frank has raised an incredible £269,000 including Gift Aid, every penny of which will go to City YMCA London to rebuild their former Errol Street hostel near Old Street, Islington.

On Friday (17 November 2017) The Duke of Cambridge attended the launch of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and LandAid's Pledge150 campaign, for young people at risk of homelessness. The campaign is part of the organisation's 150th year celebrations and was held at RICS' London headquarters.

At six foot eight inches tall and weighing over 100kg I am not really built to be on a bike let alone cycle 100 miles on one. I have always wanted to do the RideLondon 100 and missed out on the ballot in previous years. So when the opportunity arose to participate in the event with LandAid I jumped at the opportunity and signed up.
