LandAid held its third annual LandAid Ambassador Awards last night at the ‘Walkie-Talkie’ to highlight the achievements of property’s rising stars in helping to end youth homelessness.

The LandAid Ambassador Awards, held at the ‘Walkie Talkie’ and hosted by DWF, recognised those who organised outstanding initiatives to raise funds and awareness for LandAid in the past year. Alex Harrington-Griffin, Land Director at TrustedLand, won the top prize of ‘Outstanding Ambassador’ for his impressive fundraising and awareness-raising at LandAid events and his active involvement in LandAid’s Pro Bono Programme throughout the year.

Tori Watling from Logicor won the ‘Increasing Fundraising’ award for her fundraising at the LandAid SleepOut and for securing corporate support from Logicor. Colliers International’s Robert Beeching won the prize for ‘Increasing Awareness’ for organising a group of 27 graduates in his company to take on a Mont Blanc challenge for LandAid.

The night also introduced two new awards. Paragon Building Consultancy’s Paul Arthur and JLL’s Charlie Oliver took the ‘Creative Fundraising’ award for scaling Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe. Sophie Walker from Gerald Eve won the ‘Supporting LandAid Nationally’ award for playing a leading role in organising the Manchester Property Quiz.

LandAid’s Ambassador programme has been running since 2014 and now boasts over 300 members across 112 companies throughout the UK. The programme trains enthusiastic property professionals to raise funds and promote LandAid within their companies. A full list of award nominees can be found here.

Paul Morrish, Chief Executive at LandAid, said: “Our Ambassadors are a vital part of LandAid and play an important role in helping unite the property industry to end youth homelessness. They also provide a real sense of tomorrow's property industry, committed as they are not just to raising money for good causes, but to making a lasting difference to society. We’ve seen so many amazing achievements from our Ambassadors this year, and we’re continually impressed by their fundraising and willingness to shout about LandAid to anyone who’ll listen! Congratulations to all the winners and nominees for this year’s awards, and we look forward to celebrating many more Ambassador accomplishments in the coming year.”
