Rock Trust’s young people have been hit hard by COVID-19. More than half of their residents have a mental health or physical condition, and are not in work, education or training. Two of the young people they support have been made redundant due to lockdown.
LandAid’s £10,000 grant will cover the costs of emergency provisions, health and well-being resources and emergency financial support.
This £7,200 phase two grant will allow Rock Trust to replace a shower facility at its Hub with a new changing area for young people, and to install a second shower in the Hub for young people.
Rock Trust is a youth homelessness charity based in Edinburgh. They have been supporting young people to avoid and move on from homelessness for almost 30 years. They provide direct services to young people in Edinburgh, Perth, East and West Lothian, and support over 500 young people every year.
