About the Organisation
As a leading youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint help to support over 14,000 homeless 16–25-year-olds each year in the UK.
Centrepoint provides housing and support for young people regionally in London, Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East and through partnerships all over the UK. We aim to give homeless young people a future and we want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
We believe that a safe place to call home is just the start of a young person’s journey to independence. Centrepoint provides a long term, holistic model of support and aims to help each homeless young person that they support to recover their mental and physical health, return to education, training, or employment, and ultimately move on to a home of their own.
In addition to helping those who are homeless and in need of support now, Centrepoint also works tirelessly to create lasting change to UK society and to prevent more young people becoming homeless in the future. Our Helpline offers advice and guidance, often before a young person becomes homeless, whilst our Policy Team deliver key research and campaign for legislative change.
