Treasures Foundation

About the Organisation

Treasures Foundation was established in 2009, after the founder, Mandy was motivated by her own lived experience to help others. The organisation is service user led, supporting vulnerable women who have experienced addiction, poverty, homelessness, time in prison and trauma & chaotic lifestyles from childhood.

Treasures Foundation offers a safe/loving home in Newham for 13 women at a time, with intensive wraparound support and a recovery programme with community places available – reaching 32-39 women per year.

Their support programme delivers 3 sessions per day exploring the root cause of complex issues & trauma, with groups that explore addiction, mental health, sex work recovery, childhood/domestic/sexual violence & abuse alongside 1:1 work, therapy, skills building and trauma safety planning, all led by a mental health nurse. All their staff also have lived experiences.

Last year their outreach work in prisons/local community reached 696 people through activities, talks, advice groups & signposting collaboratively with other services.

The charity has powerful stories and high impact statistics to show for their work but struggle to promote this though their website and social media.

Therefore, they would appreciate pro bono support with marketing, social media and website engagement to help increase the number of supporters they have across all their channels and newsletters.

They have the skill set within the staffing to continue to work on the social media channels and newsletters in the future, but they feel they do not have the skills, time or knowledge to grow the engagement in the early stages from a small number of followers.
