Cyrenians has been tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness for over 50 years. During that time their range of services has grown in response to need. They currently offer over 60 different community-based services, most of which are delivered in South East and Central Scotland, but with a few national initiatives. Their head office is based in Edinburgh, along with the highest concentration of their services. In the last year, Cyrenians improved the life chances of over 7,800 people, of which 1,700 were children and young people.
Homelessness is often a consequence and a cause of early life experiences, and poverty is its most pervasive factor. At Cyrenians, they take a Public Health Approach to tackling homelessness. This includes prevention work, accommodation services for leavers of institutions such as hospital, prison and care. They also offer welfare advice and food pantries.

In order to accommodate the ever-growing demand, the charity is urgently seeking new accommodation and premises from which to deliver their holistic and vital services, and would benefit from some pro bono support with the following Property Searches:
- A 5 or 6-bedroom property within the Edinburgh City boundary, with at least 3 toilets, an appropriately sized communal living space (kitchen, dining, sitting room), and space which can be used as a staff office. Importantly, the space needs to be at least in part accessible. We have an indicative budget of between 20 and 30k per annum depending on whether we have a 5 or 6 bedroom space.
- A 14 bedroom property within the Edinburgh City Boundary. The space would need to include a large kitchen dining area, separate living room 7 toilets, and a room which would be used as a staff office. The building would need to be in part accessible and have at least a small amount of outdoor space.
