Justlife Foundation, Manchester

I-Architect and ConstructionQ helped Justlife plan an extension in a cost-effective manner, enabling the charity to apply for a grant for the redevelopment.

Justlife works to ensure that people’s experienced in unsupported temporary accommodation is as short, healthy, and safe as possible. The Justlife Centre in Manchester required redevelopment and extension to provide additional facilities for the people they support.

Previous architectural plans proved unaffordable and the charity approached LandAid for help. Jane Leach from i-architect stepped up and advised the charity on the feasibility of redevelopment that ensures optimum use of space in a cost-effective manner. A cost estimate from ConstructionQ provided accurate financial figures, enabling Justlife to apply for a grant for the redevelopment.

Andy Morris, General Manager at Justlife, says: “Jane has been incredible, visiting our centre several times and meeting with staff to hear their thoughts and views. Jane has been very professional and listened to all our suggestions and needs for the extension of the current building."
