Cardinal Hume’s young people are a high-risk group. Many of the team themselves have had to self-isolate, which has been a challenge for the centre. They expect these issues to only intensify over the coming months.
LandAid’s £9,830 grant will go to emergency staff costs in order to maintain 24-hour staffing to their residential facility. This will ensure that the young people feel supported and cared for, both day and night.
The Centre gives homeless young people, families in need and local people the support they need to realise their full potential. The Centre focuses on four areas of need: employment, housing, education and skills, and legal status.
