Hope HTS’s young people are extremely vulnerable, and this health crisis has added extra mental strain on them. As a result of this pandemic, all support networks and groups have been suspended. Without the freedom to go out, work or distract themselves by some other means, this is an extremely difficult situation for Hope HTS’s young people.
LandAid’s £9,505 grant will underpin the salary of a mental health nurse, who will be able to provide vital support to Hope HTS’s young people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Hope Housing Training & Support is a registered charity providing supported accommodation for 98 homeless, vulnerable adults in Dorset. Hope was established in 2009 and has housed over 2000 individuals since then. At present they are supporting approximately 35 young people; a group that increases in size each year.
