St Basil’s Youth Voice is made up of young people between 16-25 years old that have experienced homelessness, sharing their lived experience to support and bring about change.
LandAid's £15,000 grant will go towards the continuation and extension of St Basil's Youth Voice's peer mentoring scheme.
Last year the scheme trained eight young people to become peer mentors at a two-day residential in the Lake District. The peer mentors are now supporting newer members of the programme and offering another level of support for the vulnerable young people on the programme.
This year's grant will allow St Basil's Youth Voice to train a further 8-12 young people, giving them vital skills, confidence and resilience to move forward with their lives positively.
