The impact of COVID-19 has been overwhelming on YMCA Dulverton Group, and over the next three months it predicts their issues will only grow and intensify. Many of the young people and families they support are falling into food poverty, and need help and support to ensure they are able to isolate.
LandAid's £8,820 grant will provide 105 food parcels and cooked meals per day for the next 12 weeks.
This £17,538 phase two grant will be spent to furnish a leased new suite of accommodation in Weston-Super-Mare. The accommodation will provide self-contained units of living space to 17 young people who have previously been unsuitably housed, or have had care placements break down during the pandemic, and are currently in temporary placements.
YMCA Dulverton Group delivers life changing services to over 10,000 children, young people and families across Somerset and Devon every year.
