LandAid’s £1,000 awards – Blue Triangle Viewpark

LandAid is awarding four donations of £1,000 to charities to deliver projects to improve the lives of the young people they support.

The second award we’re publicising is a donation to Blue Triangle Viewpark, which will go towards an outdoor activity centre project for the young people, giving them the chance to take part in outdoor activities and giving them vital respite and some all-important fun.

Blue Triangle Viewpark offer supported accommodation to 16-25 year olds in the Viewpark community. Their service is psychologically informed environment to the young people that they support. Their staff team spend time developing trusting relationships with the young people ensuring that they have a safe environment to reach their own potential. Blue Triangle Viewpark works closely with the local authority to secure accommodation for its young people moving on.

Psychologically informed environments (PIEs) are services where the day-to-day running has been designed to take the psychological and emotional needs of people with these experiences into account.
