Llamau – COVID-19 Emergency Fund

Llamau works to end homelessness for young people and women across Wales and has been doing so for over 30 years. It offers housing-related, prevention and ‘move-on’ services designed to support disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to achieve their potential and live independent, purposeful lives.

Cost of the project

£10,000

Location

Llamau, Cathedral Road, Cardiff, UK

Llamau’s young people are some of the most socially excluded in their community. The COVID-19 crisis only amplified their exclusion, increasing vulnerabilities and risk factors. In particular, their Support Workers were reporting difficulties keeping the young people living in their 24-hour supported accommodation occupied.

LandAid’s £10,000 grant covered the costs of personal protective equipment and the provision of involvement and engagement activities.
