LandAid awarded £60,000 to enable YMCA Cornwall to convert a sports hall into a block of flats, creating fourteen new one-bed flats for young people at risk of homelessness.
The impact
The flats provide a safe, warm home to young people who were in danger in their previous living situation. The flats also address housing need in the local area, reducing the waiting list and increasing the charity’s bed spaces to 60.
