Back together again at the LandAid 10K…IRL!

This year, for the first time since 2019, we are uniting the property industry at our legendary 10K run on Tuesday 24 May.

The LandAid 10K is now in its 24th year…and Team LandAid are so excited to see you all and welcome you all to the event – IRL! This long overdue event will bring together over 800 property professionals from across the industry, to compete to run 5k, 10k or 15k (for those feeling brave!) in Regents Park, London.

We are delighted to be reuniting the industry this summer, and to creating a fantastic atmosphere in which individuals can run, cheer, celebrate and network – at long last!

For our regional supporters based outside of London, this year we have introduce a virtual element to the LandAid 10K – with participants outside of London able to sign up and compete in their hometown.

Some of you may remember the LandAid QuaranTEN event in 2020, LandAid asked the property sector to run 10K, 10 miles or take 10,000 steps a day. This virtual event was a huge success, helping to get participants out and about for some much-needed fresh air during lockdown – plus raising some fantastic funds for our Covid Emergency Appeal.

Our virtual events helped to engage the industry in our cause during the pandemic, and we are delighted to be BACK holding the event in person for 2022 – and here’s hoping for some sunshine on the day…

Through rain, shine, in-person or virtual events, our supporters have been there for LandAid and young people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. And whatever the weather – youth homelessness is still an urgent and rising issue that LandAid is here to tackle.

The event hopes to raise in excess of £125,000, which will make such a huge difference for LandAid and the young people we support. LandAid’s aim is to create 1000 homes for vulnerable 16-25-year-olds by 2024, and the vital funds raised from this event will ensure that we edge ever closer to this ambitious target. The number of young people facing homelessness has now exceeded 122,000, with too many young people sofa-surfing, sleeping on public transport or rough sleeping – which makes this year’s 10K is more important than ever.

With your support, we can help transform these young lives, providing safe, secure accommodation across the country for those young people most in need, helping them to reach their full potential.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up already, and to our Headline Sponsors, Allsop LLP, for making the event possible and ensuring that every penny raised can go towards our vital work for young people. There are still sponsorship opportunities available – and if running isn’t your thing… we are looking for volunteers to help out on the day!

There is still time to sign up – you can do so here – and join the 800 property professionals who will be uniting to end youth homelessness.

We can’t wait to be together again – so dust off those trainers and we look forward to seeing you on 24th May!
