Dan Mulligan appointed chair of LandAid Midlands board

Dan Mulligan has been named as the new Chair of the LandAid Midlands board.

Dan is a Partner at Glenn Howells Architects, having joined in 2005, and has designed and delivered multiple award-winning, mixed-use, residential-led projects that range from the small-scale Triangle, Swindon development, to the large-scale London City Island.

The Midlands board was established in 2018 and is made up of volunteers from the property industry including Michelle Adams (Squire Patton Bogs LLP), Gurjit Atwal (Eversheds Sutherland), Stephen Brandsma (Gleeson Recruitment Group), Asha Devi (Arup), Owen Dutton (Eversheds Sutherland), Damian Lloyd (Avison Young), Tom Johnson (Pinsent Masons LLP), Jessica Vincent (Cordia Blackswan) and Richard Hickman (St Modwen Logistics).

Dan said: ‘I am very honoured to have been asked to Chair this Board and continue with our plans to create a legacy of change for young homeless people in Birmingham.

‘Central to this is the development of the next phase of our award-winning Live and Work Scheme, which will see a disused block converted into 52 units of accommodation for homeless young people and run by the St Basil’s charity.

‘To help secure funds for this project, we have our first in-person SleepOut event that takes place on Thursday 10 March at the MailBox in Birmingham, and we are looking forward to help making even more of an impact for LandAid!’

Rob Bould, Chair of LandAid, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Dan Mulligan as the new chair of the LandAid Midlands, and I am confident that his experience and passion will be great assets in supporting our mission to end youth homelessness with our Midlands Board.’

LandAid’s biggest ever SleepOut event is taking place in six locations across the country, or people can also SleepOut at Home, on 10 March. This is all in aid of supporting young people who find themselves homeless, in building a brighter future.
