One of the only plus points of summer drawing to an end is the fact that Oktoberfest season is now upon us.
And if you wanted a more property-oriented take on the traditional beer festival, you need look no further than Proptoberfest.
The event is the brainchild of Completely Events and is in support of LandAid, featuring Bavarian beer, lots of lederhosen and a positive, party atmosphere.
If those facts alone weren’t enough to pique your interest, then we’ve put together this blog listing even more reasons why you’ve got to get down to Proptoberfest on October 4. You can find out more here.
It’s a great alternative networking event
Now you know you can expect a massive variety of amazing food, drink and entertainment at Proptoberfest. But did you know you’ll also be attending a fantastic networking opportunity with a massively broad range of companies? Last year saw attendees from CBRE, GVA, LaSalle Investment Management, Pristine London, SEGRO, Withers and many more, and you can be sure you’ll be rubbing shoulders with even more influential names in property at this year’s event.
CEO Dom Millar’s Musical Talent
The wonderful The Completely Events Team, who are putting on this year’s Proptoberfest extravaganza, are helping out in more than just organisational terms – you might be surprised to learn that their CEO Dom Millar will be taking to the stage to supply some funky grooves from the comfort of his bass’ fretboard. The chief exec will be laying down the rhythm onstage, showing a more musical side to himself, throughout the evening.
It’s raising money to end youth homelessness
You probably knew Proptoberfest was a pretty successful event, but we bet you hadn’t realised just quite how successful it is. Over the last two years, the event has raised just over £23,500 for LandAid, every penny of which is helping to end youth homelessness. With this year’s event set to be bigger than ever, you can expect to see that figure looking even more impressive.
The street food will blow your mind
Hawker House is no stranger to a whole host of delicious street food gracing its halls, and Proptoberfest will be no different in this respect. Expect some enticing concoctions with a German twist, so you can really immerse yourself in a genuine Oktberfest feeling.
It’s organised by market leaders
You might not know too much about Proptoberfest’s hosts, and more specifically their experience in event management. Completely Events are an international events agency, with a wealth of experience putting on events across Europe. Considering their experience in hosting the market-leading networking event Completely Retail Marketplace in London, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Prague, you can be sure Proptoberfest is in very safe hands.
