Over the past financial year, LandAid has awarded a tremendous £1,260,924 in grants to 22 charity projects, making 2014/15 our best-ever year of grant giving. This is a wonderful testimony to the fundraising efforts and enthusiasm of the property industry.

Seven new projects have now been approved from the autumn 2014 application round, the final three awarded this month. Our latest grants were given to The Ashley Foundation ( £102,000), The Belfast Buildings Trust ( £100,000) and Country Holidays for Inner City Kids (CHICKS) ( £116,000).

These three projects illustrate the range of support offered by charities up and down the UK to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. From organisations such as The Ashley Foundation who help young people who are at crisis point by supplying emergency accommodation, to charities like CHICKS who run respite holidays for those in need of a break and Belfast Buildings Trust who aim to enable employment through their catering programme; these charities reach out to those in need at crucial stages of their journey.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has made these grants possible by running, cycling, abseiling, baking, world-record making and by joining our partner network – all your energies and efforts really are worth it!

The grant giving doesn’t stop there though – plans for next year are already underway with a number of inspiring new projects waiting in the wings for funding. Let’s help those projects happen and prove we can top that mighty target once again!
