The LandAid Trek 2024

LandAid challenges the industry to trek for change to support young people across the UK facing homelessness

LandAid is encouraging hundreds of property and built environment professionals to dig out their walking boots and take part in a brand-new event for 2024 – the LandAid Trek, from 13-15 September.

Industry professionals will take on the 27km challenge along one of the most ancient trials in the UK, across the stunning Black Mountains in Wales. Or for those unable to join in-person, the event is fully hybrid with a virtual option. Participants can trek solo, or with a team, providing a great opportunity to utilise company CSR days or to encourage family and friends to get involved too.

Fundraising from the LandAid Trek will ensure that every step taken will pave the way for a more stable future for young people experiencing homelessness.

Youth homelessness is a continually rising issue in the UK. Last year alone nearly 136,000 young people between 16-24 years approached their local council for housing support as they were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Shockingly, this is a 5% increase on the year before and almost 50% increase over the past 5 years.

As the property industry charity, LandAid work with hundreds of businesses to form meaningful and impactful partnerships that make a tangible difference to the lives of young people across the UK who have nowhere else to turn.

The LandAid Trek provides a chance to push your own limits, connect with fellow property professionals, and create change.
