The LandAid COVID-19 Emergency Fund has given out over half a million pounds in its first month to youth homelessness charities across the country. LandAid, the property industry charity, is hoping to raise and distribute £1m in emergency funding in the coming months.

The grants given out will support thousands of young homeless people through this crisis in every region and country of the UK. The money has been given out in small grants of up to £10,000 to 60 charities including Youth Voice, a national programme which supports young people across the country to use their lived experience of homelessness to create change. Their £10,000 grant will be used to support their members through this crisis, they will be able to access small grants for basic necessities such as food, fuel and phone credit.
Tamzin Reynolds-Rosser, National Youth Engagement Service Manager, St Basils Youth Voice said: ‘COVID-19 has hit us all hard, but for young homeless people across the country the effects have been even more acute. The grant awarded to Youth Voice by LandAid will enable us to give Youth Voice small grants to help them weather this storm – many have lost unstable employment and do not have the technology to connect with their support networks – but this will change that. Thank you.’
