LandAid has achieved its mission of delivering 450 homes for young people by April 2020 one year early, having now provided 472 homes for vulnerable young people since April 2017.
Thanks to the help of its industry partners, last year the charity supported 22,671 young people who have experienced homelessness, providing accommodation for 511 young people.
LandAid’s projects also supported 2,599 young people into work and helped 788 young people move into their own independent accommodation.
Nearly £3m was raised throughout the year, with LandAid’s partners raising more than £360,000 from the incredible events they put on throughout the year.
LandAid’s four regional boards were instrumental in the delivery of its strategy, with events such as the Midlands 10K, the Carter Jonas Pedalthon and the North West Gala Dinner raising funds to help vulnerable young people across each of their regions. In Bristol, the ground-breaking East Street Mews project will be creating 11 homes for young people in the area.
LandAid’s free property advice programme provided £130,000 worth of LandAid-brokered advice to more than 52 charity projects across the UK, equivalent to 165 work days’ worth of help.
