LandAid’s Christmas Card Alternative raises a record £34,500

A record-topping £34,500 has been raised from LandAid’s Christmas Card Alternative campaign, which closed earlier this week.

 

33 property companies took part in the campaign, which called on supporters to cut out corporate Christmas cards and donate the cash they’d usually spend on sending cards to LandAid.

 

In return, each company’s logo was included in a thank you advert printed by Estates Gazette and Property Week and played on ECN screens around London, and every participant received a personalised email signature and Christmas e-card.

 

Funds raised from the campaign will be used to bring empty properties around the UK back into use as homes for young people who are homeless. And with an estimated 10,000 young people expected to face homelessness this winter, your donations are more vital than ever.
