Over 200 property runners compete in first ever LandAid Midlands 10K

**Race times available at the bottom of the page**

Yesterday we launched our first LandAid Midlands 10K, sponsored by St. Modwen, and what a success it was! We called for runners- and you all delivered! Over 200 runners from across the property industry braved the wind, put on their running shoes, and came together to raise vital funds to help end youth homelessness in the Midlands.

Speedy course records were set, as the competitive runners assembled in Longbridge to run what was our toughest 10k course yet. The end of the day saw jelly legs and tired grins all round, but not in vain: the efforts of our runners raised over an incredible £25,000!

A special mention and congratulations to Robert Dowse of Pinsent Masons, earning the title of fastest male under 45 and finishing in just 40:49.0, and to the fantastic fastest female under 45 Abby Halcarz of Opus Land, who completed the run in 42:00.8. These runners have really set the standards for next year!

The fastest male over 45 was Jonathon Green of St. Modwen, who finished at 42:30.5, and the fastest female over 45 was Kathy Toon of Shoosmiths, with the time 51.34.9. Well done to you both, what a brilliant result!

The award for the fastest team went to Catesby Estates, with the combined time of 3:07:13. Your collaborative effort was incredible!

A huge thanks to every single runner that fundraised for LandAid, you all made a fantastic effort raising vital funds for the cause! I would like to give a shout out to James Sinclair from Cushman & Wakefield for earning the title of highest individual fundraiser for LandAid. Also a massive thanks to GVA for being the highest company fundraiser! The funds raised will help us support the local charity St Basils to convert an empty property into a home for 18 young people at risk of homelessness.

This was my first fundraising event that I had the pleasure of helping organise since joining the team at LandAid, so I would personally like to thank every person who took part. You all made it an experience to remember! My highlight was seeing the awesome three Eversheds Sutherland Power Rangers -I hope next year you can complete the set with the missing three Rangers!

This event would not have been possible without the commitment and enthusiasm of our wonderful headline sponsor St. Modwen. Their response has been absolutely incredible, and this event was a fantastic success thanks to their support! So thank you.

Finally, thanks to all those who kindly recognised the achievements of our runners by sponsoring trophies for each of the following categories: Fastest Female Under 45- Opus Land; Fastest Veteran Female 45+ – Savills; Fastest Male Under 45- Surge Recruitment; Fastest Veteran Male 45+ – CBRE; Fastest Team- MCS Group; Highest Company Fundraising- Shoosmiths; Highest Individual Fundraising- Savills.

For everyone that participated, well done! It was a tough course and you all smashed it. Thank you once again on behalf of everyone here at LandAid, and the young people you have helped. We hope to see you all next year for more fantastic race times and course records!
