Doorstep had been forced to close its doors, due to COVID-19. Many of the young people supported by Doorstep were cut off from their support networks and could not keep up to date with public health messaging.
LandAid’s £8,500 grant provided mobile phones and credit, plus internet costs for one year to allow young people access to support. These funds were also used to improve tenants’ living spaces and to provide them with bikes for exercise, and as a mode of a transport so they can avoid public transport.
