Homeless Action Resource Project (HARP) – COVID-19 Emergency Fund

HARP works to enable people to move towards independent living, offering a comprehensive service with a range of emergency and longer term supported housing together with training, support and meaningful activities.

In light of COVID-19, HARP had to adapt its services to ensure it continued to support their young people. HARP has placed approximately 90 rough sleepers into temporary accommodation whilst having to close its day centre.

Phase 1

LandAid’s £10,000 went to emergency grants for 70 young people HARP supports.

Phase 2

This £5,352 phase two grant part-fund the installation of Wi-Fi in five properties which housing 71 residents aged 18-25. This enabled the team to improve engagement since, due to lockdown conditions, they were completing support meetings and interactions over the phone.
