Newark Emmaus Trust- Capital Grant

Established in 1993, Newark Emmaus Trust supports local, vulnerable, young people experiencing homelessness with temporary accommodation, as well as professional care, support and training.

Cost of the project

£45,000

Location

Newark, UK

Newark Emmaus provides a variety of accommodation to meet individual needs. These range from high-support, shared-accommodation, to individual bedsits for residents who are more independent. They also provide houses in the community for young parents. They have helped over 1000 young people experiencing homelessness.

With support from the LandAid grant, Newark Emmaus Trust will be able to renovate and create 3 additional bedspaces in their new property for those with a connection to the area, who are either rough sleeping or sofa surfing. As it is supported accommodation, all residents will also benefit from the Hub training room, for activities and on site training, as well as the help from support workers.
