Open Homes Nottingham

Open Homes Nottingham provides accommodation for 16-25 year olds who are homeless. They work to create supportive communities where young people can contribute and belong.

Cost of the project

£60,000

Location

Nottingham, UK

LandAid’s £60,000 grant will help fund the renovation and extension of two houses to provide up to four bed spaces for young people who have been homeless.

The house will also feature up to eight bed spaces for ‘peer tenants,’ people aged 21-35 who pay their own rent and who Open Homes Nottingham will train to provide support to the young people. The peer tenants will help the young people to keep up with rent payments, provide inspiration for them to start studying or working, and improve their self-esteem.
