Our 2021-24 strategy

The challenges facing young people who become homeless and the charities that support them are becoming ever more severe, and the crisis has only been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of young people experiencing homelessness is growing and the problems they present with are more acute. There has been a 50% increase in the number of young people experiencing homelessness this year. The Covid-19 pandemic has enhanced pre-existing challenges including unemployment and a lack of affordable housing.

Now, more than ever, LandAid’s mission is vital.

If the crisis of youth homelessness is to be tackled, it needs new ideas, and new champions. The property industry can be that champion. Working with LandAid and through our network of charities around the country, we are better placed than any other business sector to focus the efforts and concerns of thousands of professionals into positive social change.

Key to our success will be our ability to forge a unique social movement across the property industry, bringing professionals and their companies together in common purpose to tackle youth homelessness. We will improve the way we capture and report on our social impact and the social value we create.
