This year’s Christmas Card Alternative campaign has smashed all previous records and raised £64,000 to end youth homelessness - more than ever before.
Technology is a vital communication lifeline. We have seen this become ever more evident over the last 18 months amid the pandemic.
LandAid’s, the property industry charity, Steptober challenge saw 1,264 participants take more than 166 million steps over the last two weeks raising over £117,000 to end youth homelessness.
Hundreds of participants took on the daily distance of the Tour de France to support LandAid’s mission to end youth homelessness.
LandAid’s Steptober challenge is returning for a fourth year, with registration opening today, Wednesday 23 July.
Last year, 780 property professionals put on their running shoes for the LandAid QuaranTEN, and raised over £100,00 to end youth homelessness.
New campaign aims to give young people the first step out of homelessness
LandAid has launched two virtual fundraising events for summer of 2021.The LandAid 10K and Tour De LandAid will take place on Thursday 10 June and Saturday 26 June – Sunday 18 July respectively.
LandAid’s first ever virtual SleepOut has raised over £360,000, the funds of which will go to charity projects supporting young people experiencing homelessness, such as DHI’s East Street Mews development in the South West, St. Basils Live and Work Village 2 in the Midlands, WomenCentre in Yorkshire and Depaul’s Safestop project in the North West.
