Young person in the snow

Christmas Card Alternative

Thank you to our corporate partners and supporters who donated to LandAid with the money they would have spent on buying and sending Christmas cards. We managed to raise an impressive £29,550 to help fund vital accommodation for young people facing homelessness this winter.

At Christmas, our thoughts turn to the thousands of young people who will not have access to a safe or warm home this winter.

The youth homelessness crisis is sadly getting worse. Every 4 minutes, another young person faces homelessness in the UK. Last year, there were an estimated 135,800 young people who experienced or were at risk of becoming homeless. Combined with the challenges of the cost-of-living crisis, these winter months have brought even more fear and uncertainty to young people who do not have a safe and secure place to call home.

This Christmas, we united the property industry to tackle this crisis and make the greatest impact yet on those facing homelessness over the winter period.

How does the Christmas Card Alternative work each year?

Instead of sending out the usual company Christmas card, our generous corporate partners pledged their support for our Christmas Card Alternative. Their donations have helped us tackle the worsening youth homelessness crisis, and in return they received a range of different benefits according to their donation level.

Campaign Partners donated £3,000
  • Partner logos were printed at the top of our Christmas Card Alternative campaign double-page feature, in both Property Week and EG.
  • Their logos were included in LandAid’s dedicated Christmas campaign page on our website (see below).
  • Their logos featured in a Christmas Card Alternative campaign post, alongside other campaign partners on LandAid’s social media channels.

Campaign Supporters donated £1,000
  • Supporter logos were printed on our Christmas Card Alternative campaign double-page feature, in both Property Week and EG.
